Meet Comet ATLAS: The Green Surprise! 🚀☄️

Hello, young space explorer! Look up at the night sky. Sometimes, space has wonderful surprises for us. One of them was a comet named ATLAS!

What was Comet ATLAS?

Comet ATLAS was a giant, icy space traveler made of ice and dust. Scientists discovered it in 2019, and it quickly became very bright and exciting!

A Very Special Comet

Its Name: Its full name is C/2019 Y4 (ATLAS). We can call it Comet ATLAS for short. It's like a code name for a space mission!

A Long Journey: This comet was on a very, very long trip around the Sun. Scientists think it took about 6,000 years to complete one orbit! That's even longer than the Egyptian pyramids are old!

Its Beautiful Color: As it got closer to the Sun, it started to glow a fantastic green color! This was because of special gases inside it.

What Happened to Its Tail?

The most exciting part of a comet is its long, glowing tail. Unfortunately, Comet ATLAS broke into pieces before it could grow a really long, beautiful tail. But it still gave us a amazing show and taught scientists many new things about comets!

So, when you color this comet, you can imagine it as a brilliant, green surprise lighting up our sky for a short time!
